Nikisha Patel was born and raised in the United Kingdom.She is of Gujarati descent.[1] She was a finalist in the 2006 Miss Wales beauty pageant.She debuted in the 2010 Telugu film, Puli, playing the lead female role.The film was a critical and financial failure. She then signed two films, Amali Thumali (initially titled as Nanba) and Narasimha in Tamil and Kannada, respectively,followed by another Kannada film, Varadanayaka, a remake of the Telugu film Lakshyam (2007).She was also reported to have been signed for Rosshan Andrrews' Mumbai Police
